"2. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Standards of Learning Testing Program shall be suspended for the 2003-2004 school year subject to the following conditions: (a) school divisions that are currently accredited with warning shall be provided assistance to improve student performance; (b) SOL testing mandates to school divisions shall be relaxed and all timetables for achievement goals shall be delayed one year; and (c) the state's testing program shall be revised and coordinated to achieve the critical time elements of the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. Out of the appropriation for State Education Services $19,096,966 the second year from the general fund is provided to meet the conditions enumerated above."

(This amendment suspends the SOL Testing Program for 2003-2004, redirecting funding to provide assistance to school divisions that are accredited with warning and to revise the state's testing program to achieve the critical time elements of the No Child Left Behind Act.)
