"B.  The Secretaries of Natural Resources and Education shall, in conjunction with the Museum of Natural History and the Science Museum of Virginia, and with input from the public at large, conduct a feasibility study of the merger or consolidation of the two museums or certain functions thereof, and upon a finding that such merger or consolidation is feasible, shall develop a plan for such merger or consolidation for consideration by the 2004 General Assembly.  The Secretaries of Natural Resources and Education shall submit their report to the General Assembly no later than December 1, 2003."

Explanation
(This amendment restores the Museum of Natural History under the Secretary of Natural Resources. A companion amendment to Item 262.10 removes the Museum of Natural History from the administration of the Science Museum. The amendment also requires a study of the feasibility of the transfer in the future.)
