Page 298, after line 35, insert:
"9.  The Director of the Department of Environmental Quality is authorized to make a grant from the Virginia Water Quality Improvement Fund, not to exceed $2.0 million, for the construction of a permitted biological nutrient removal or other nutrient removal facilities for private sewage treatment plants in the Potomac-Shenandoah Basin serving residential and commercial customers that previously received grant funds in an amount less than 50 percent of its eligible construction and equipment costs under the Cooperative Point Source Program."

(This amendment authorizes DEQ to provide a grant up to $2.0 million from the Water Quality Improvement Fund to a private sewage treatment plant with a permitted biological nutrient removal capability in the Potomac-Shenandoah watershed. An eligible plant must have previously received a Cooperative Point Source Program grant in an amount less than 50 percent of allowed construction and equipment costs.)
