The State Plan for Medical Assistance shall be amended to provide coverage of substance abuse treatment services for adults and children and shall include:  emergency services; evaluation and assessment; outpatient services, including intensive outpatient services; targeted case management; and day treatment."


Explanation
(This amendment provides funding to expand Medicaid coverage to include reimbursement for a comprehensive array of substance abuse treatment services. This is a recommendation of the Joint Subcommittee Studying the Future Delivery of Publicly Funded Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services.)
