Explanation
(This amendment provides funding for the Nursing Assistant Institute through the Department for Aging. The Nursing Assistant Institute focuses on developing model programs in the areas of recruitment, retention, training, and support of certified nurse aides. The Nursing Assistant Institute, which includes both private and public organizations in the Charlottesville area, is seeking financial support from foundations and corporate sponsors in addition to this request for state support. This is a recommendation of the Joint Commission on Health Care.)
