Explanation
(This amendment provides funds from the federal TANF grant on welfare reform for a continuum of housing services to low-income families. Services would be targeted to homeless families attempting to regain independence. Services would include: assistance for emergency and transitional shelter; supportive services such as life skills, education, and job training; care for homeless children while parents look for work; and rental assistance.)
