"3.  Out of the amounts for Governor's School Payments, the Board of Education shall provide state assistance for the state share of the incremental cost
to be based on the greater of the composite index or 50 percent of a summer residential Governor's School for Agriculture.  The Board of Education shall use the established process for requesting proposals for summer residential Governor's Schools to determine the location of the school.  Participating school divisions must certify that no tuition is assessed students for participation in this program if they are enrolled in a public school."

Explanation
(This amendment would provide full funding for the state share of costs for a summer residential Governor's School for Agriculture. The proposed amendment is fiscally neutral for the 2000-2002 biennium because funding of $75,000 in both years was included in the introduced budget. The school would serve 200 students beginning in the summer of 2001.)
