Explanation
(This amendment provides $475,314 the first year and $324,982 the second year and two positions from the general fund for the cost of criminal record checks for public school personnel, pursuant to House Bill 1238 if passed by the 2000 General Assembly. The costs are based on an estimated 11,106 new personnel in fiscal year 2001 and 11,661 new personnel in fiscal year 2002. The funding is based on the actual costs to the State Police and the $22.00 per applicant that must be passed on to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.)
