Explanation
(This amendment provides funding for children's mental health, mental retardation, and substance abuse services. Funding for children's mental health services would include psychiatric services, intensive in-home services, therapeutic homes, and family support services. Funding for children's mental retardation services would help to reduce waiting lists for services. Funding for substance abuse services would expand Project Link for pregnant substance- abusing women and their children and provide prevention services for high-risk youth. This is a recommendation of the Joint Subcommittee Studying the Future Delivery of Publicly Funded Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services.)
