Explanation
(This amendment provides additional general funds to the Department of Health to be used to contract with Virginia Health Information for the processing of outpatient data submitted by state agencies pursuant to § 32.1-276.6 (C), Code of Virginia. Currently, the outpatient data is submitted by the Department of Medical Assistance Services and the Department of Personnel and Training; however, there is no funding to analyze the data or publish any reports. This is a recommendation of the Joint Commission on Health Care.)
