Explanation
(This amendment provides funding for a new combined dental scholarship program and dentist loan repayment program. A companion amendment eliminates funding and language for the existing dental scholarship program. The funding for that program is funding provided in this amendment. The new combined program will provide greater flexibility for recruiting dental students and dentists to underserved areas of the Commonwealth. This is a recommendation of the Joint Commission on Health Care.)
