(This amendment provides annual funding to implement mandatory training programs for residential staff at the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind at Staunton. Of the amounts per year, $78,000 is to increase the contract period for residential staff, $10,000 is for needs assessment, and $15,000 is for sign language instruction and evaluation. This is a recommendation of the Advisory Commission on the Virginia Schools for the Deaf and Blind.)
