Explanation
(This amendment would not allow school divisions to count resource teachers toward meeting the goals of the K-3 Reduced Class Size initiative, which has been allowed by the Department of Education. This would make individual class sizes and pupil-to-teacher ratios consistent with legislative intent behind the program. No additional funding is required because the state share for the program is based on the individual class sizes and pupil-to-teacher ratios cited in this Item.)
