"f.  This appropriation includes an amount estimated at $800,000 the first year and $800,000 the second year from the general fund for the state's share of $11.00 per pupil day for intersession days provided to students in schools at high risk of educational failure.  The payments shall be provided to school divisions which certify that they are providing schools with year-round calendars which include intersessions with instructional days beyond the required 180 days.  These funds shall be matched by the local government, based on the composite index of local ability-to-pay."

Explanation
(This amendment provides funds for a year-round school pilot. It is estimated that there are 20 schools in 10 school divisions, serving approximately 7,100 students, which would qualify for this funding in the 2000-02 biennium.)
