Explanation
(This amendment would provide the Southwest Virginia Public Education Consortium with funding to sponsor a Teacher Employment Fair each year at the Higher Education Center in Abingdon. Junior and senior education students from 16 colleges and universities will be invited to attend. Citizens who are licensed to teach and seeking employment will be notified about the Fair via radio, television, newspaper and web sites. Expenses include grand hall rental, lunch for all participants, rental of linens and table skirts, advertising, copying, postage, and miscellaneous office supplies and expenses.)
