Effective July 1, 2000, for any child currently receiving pool funds (i) who has been receiving CSA pool funded services for the past 12 consecutive months; (ii) for whom the cost of that care paid with CSA pool funds exceeded $100,000; and (iii) whose uniform assessment score indicated a placement of level 3 or higher, a locality may request the State Executive Council to consider the local match to be half of the current locality CSA match rate for these high-cost residential placements.  The Office of Comprehensive Services will develop the procedures for local govenments to request approval for this alternative match rate."


Explanation
(This amendment would decrease from 37 percent to 18.5 percent the local match rate for high-cost residential placements for children served in the Comprehensive Services Act program.)
