Explanation
(This amendment adjusts the funding for the Drug Law Enforcement and Investigation Division to reflect the actual hiring dates of the first 60 new State Troopers for this division. The actual hiring dates are based on available space in the training school at the State Police Academy. This amendment provides for 30 additional new troopers in each of the October 2000 and April 2001 Academy schools, in addition to supervisory and support personnel. The division is established pursuant to House Bill 285 and Senate Bill 45 of the 2000 General Assembly.)
