From the appropriation in this item, $174,276 the first year from the general fund is provided for the estimated increase in the operating costs of juvenile correctional facilities resulting from enactment, in the 2000 Session of the General Assembly, of legislation increasing the penalty for the transportation of firearms by juveniles. The funds shall be paid into the Corrections Special Reserve Fund, established in accordance with § 30-19.1:4 of the Code of Virginia.
