Explanation
(This amendment provides $474,124 the first year and $531,321 the second year from the general fund to replace federal substance abuse treatment grants which will expire on June 30, 2000. The intent of this amendment is to continue three substance abuse treatment programs in Hampton, Roanoke, and Region IV of the Department of Corrections. A fourth federal grant in Martinsville will not expire until June 30, 2001, so the replacement funds for that program are not included in this amendment.)
