By September 1, 2001, the Roanoke Higher Education Authority shall submit a report to the Governor and the Chairmen of the House Appropriations and Senate Finance Committees on the development of the Roanoke Higher Education Center.  The report shall include, but not be limited to, detailed information on the number of students enrolled through the center and the types of certificates and degrees awarded; the amount of private and institutional funding for the center's operations; information on the participation in the center by local governments and the private sector; uses of the state appropriations in the 2000-02 biennium; and the center's educational goals and financial expectations for the following biennium."


Explanation
(This amendment provides funds for building operations, staff salaries, and support services for the Roanoke Higher Education Center, which is projected to open in August 2000, and directs the authority to provide a progress report in 2001.)
