"G.  Effective July 1, 2000, the Commonwealth shall pay 40 percent of the cost of the dental insurance premium for employees enrolled in the health insurance plan known as "Key Advantage."  The 40 percent shall be applied to all categories of coverage."

Explanation
(This amendment provides funding for the state to pay 40 percent of the cost of the dental insurance premium. This will result in a monthly savings of $7 for single coverage, $13 for employee plus one, and $19 for employee family coverage. This amendment also removes language requiring the general fund to pay 100 percent of the cost for health insurance for E & G employees in Institutions of Higher Education. Institutions will be able to use the excess tuition and fee revenue generated from out of state students to pay a portion of the health insurance premium cost.)
