Explanation
(This amendment provides increased funding for programs established pursuant to the Community Corrections Act for Local Responsible Offenders (CCCA) and the Pretrial Services Act (PSA). This increase includes funding for expansion of community corrections and pretrial program capacity, a cost-of-living increase for program staff, and establishment of new programs in localities that are required by statute to develop programs, but have not done so due to lack of funding, as well as localities that desire to establish programs as part of a community-based corrections plan. This amendment also moves funding proposed as part of the Governor's SABRE initiative to include this funding in the total appropriation for the CCCA and PSA.)
