Page 213, after line 41, insert:
"Effective on or after June 30, 2000, in addition to such payments as may be available to the surviving spouse and dependents of any State Police officer killed in the line of duty, the full cost of group health insurance, net of any credits and other payments, shall be payable from this Item pursuant to § 2.1-133.7, Code of Virginia.  To the extent the appropriation in this Item is insufficient for these health insurance payments, the Director of the Department of Planning and Budget is authorized to transfer sufficient funding from Item 548 of this act."

Explanation
(This amendment would ensure sufficient funding for health insurance payments for the surviving spouse and dependents of State Police officers killed in the line of duty, consistent with legislative intent.)
