Page 348, after line 30, insert:
"The Director is authorized to reimburse, from such funds as are available in the Virginia Petroleum Storage Tank fund, a property owner, who is not an owner or operator as defined by § 62.1-44.34:10, Code of Virginia, for property damage caused by the release of petroleum into the environment from an underground storage tank, in an amount not to exceed $65,000 per occurrence.  The Board shall seek reimbursement to the Virginia Petroleum Storage Tank Fund from the responsible owner or operator for such property damage pursuant to § 62.1-44.34:12, Code of Virginia."

Explanation
(This amendment authorizes the Director to reimburse a private property owner directly for damages from a petroleum storage tank leak.)
