"Virginia Department of Health to allow for the".

Explanation
(This amendment clarifies that the Department of Social Services shall develop a memorandum of understanding to allow the Comprehensive Health Investment Project (CHIP) of Virginia to expand the CHIP program in Southwest Virginia, using foster care prevention funds to serve at-risk families. Language was added during the 1999 Session to require the Department of Social Services to enter into this agreement with CHIP of Virginia; however, a memorandum of understanding must be executed between the two state agencies. Currently, the CHIP of Virginia Project is funded through the Department of Health.)
