A. The amounts for Surplus and Excess Property Management-Federal and for Surplus Transfer or Sale - State shall be paid solely from revenues derived from charges for services. The estimated subprogram cost for Surplus and Excess Property Management-Federal is $892,456 the first year and $$892,456 the second year. The estimated cost for Surplus Transfer or Sale-State is $713,826 the first year and $713,826 the second year.
B.1. No later than September 1, 1998, the Department of General Services shall use a single, consolidated statewide list to inform state agencies and political subdivisions of all generic and brand name computer systems, components, and peripheral equipment available on state contract.
2. No later than January 1, 1999, the Departments of General Services and Information Technology shall develop uniform policies and procedures for procuring telecommunications products and services for state agencies and institutions.
3. The Director of the Department of General Services shall evaluate the statewide delegated procurement authority purchasing threshold, and consider raising it to $30,000 consistent with § 11-41, Code of Virginia. A report on such evaluation and actions generated by the evaluation shall be submitted to the Chairmen of the House Appropriations and Senate Finance Committees by October 1, 1998.
