"2. Out of this appropriation, $120,000 the second year from the general fund is provided for the first year of a two-year statewide survey of older Virginians to determine personal characteristics, capacities and needs, current resources and support, and the range of services available to them.  The Virginia Center on Aging shall serve as the coordinator of researchers for the survey at Virginia Commonwealth University, the University of Virginia, and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University."

(This amendment provides funds to update a survey, first conducted in 1978-80, on the services and resources available to older Virginians. The survey will be coordinated by the Virginia Center on Aging. The data would be used to improve planning and delivery of services by state and local agencies.)
