"I.  Out of the amounts for Industrial Development Services shall be provided $250,000 the first year and $750,000 the second year from the general fund to establish the Internet Technology Center, the Center for Plasma and Photon Processing, and the 21st Century Manufacturing Center.  The Innovative Technology Authority shall provide a report to the Chairmen of the Senate Finance and House Appropriations Committees by November 3, 1999, on the status and progress of these Centers in meeting their research and commercialization purposes."

(This amendment provides $1.0 million of general fund support in the 1998-2000 biennium to CIT for three Technology Innovation Centers. The Centers focus on existing and emerging technologies important to Virginia's technology industry. The services provided by the Centers include development, application, and commercialization efforts.)
