Explanation
(This amendment provides $274,400 from the general fund and eight positions for additional magistrates. When added to the two new positions already included in the budget, as introduced, this amendment provides the equivalent of ten new magistrate positions. These positions are to be allocated by the Committee on District Courts based on the most recent magistrate workload reports to determine where the greatest need exists for additional magistrate services.)
