Explanation
(This amendment provides funding to support the fiscal impact of House Bill 1775, civil commitment of sexually violent predators. Funding would cover the costs of inmate evaluations; testimony of evaluators at probable cause hearings, trials, and review hearings; secure residential treatment; and special consultants to develop the treatment programs and provide staff training. Funding would also support additional staff in the central office to manage the program.)
