"G. Out of this appropriation, $1,275,000 the second year is provided from the general fund to the Virginia Association of free clinics to be distributed to 31 free clinics throughout the Commonwealth.  The purpose of the funding is to expand the capacity of Virginia's free clinics to meet the pharmacy needs of low-income, uninsured adults.  Funds shall be distributed to enable the free clinics to serve the greatest number of low-income, uninsured adults as possible.  Funds shall be used to purchase pharmaceuticals and medically-necessary supplies, and to provide pharmacy services to Free Clinic patients.  It is the intent of the General Assembly that free clinics continue to rely heavily on local community resources, private funding, volunteer services, and other in-kind donations."
