Explanation
(This amendment is to correct the effective starting date for a proportional salary adjustment involving magistrate positions. The November 25 effective starting date in the proposed budget was used because it was consistent with other state employee salary adjustments. However, the appropriation granted by the 1998 General Assembly was based on funds being provided for an entire year (24 pay periods). Given this, the effective starting date should be changed to June 10, 1999.)
