Explanation
(This amendment would provide funding for CHROME, a partnership of more than 70 organizations representing business, industry, governmental agencies, institutions of higher education, public school systems and civic and professional associations. Currently funded by annual membership contributions, Old Dominion University, and grants, CHROME serves the greater Hampton Roads area as a planning, coordinating, and advocacy organization designed to complement and improve the educational programs of 13 school systems in Hampton Roads. CHROME's mission is to increase opportunities for underrepresented minority and female students to enter science, math, engineering, and related technical fields.)
