Explanation
(This amendment would provide funding to the eight existing sites and the state office of Jobs for Virginia's Graduates. The program assists Virginia high school seniors to stay in school, graduate, and successfully transition from school to work. Currently, the program is receiving $144,000 from Job Training and Partnership Act administrative funding through the Virginia Department of Education. Federal changes will mean that funding from this source will be unavailable in fiscal year 2000. Funding of $400,000 would support the state office and existing sites, plus add another eight sites.)
