Explanation
(This amendment provides funding to reduce class sizes in grades two and three from 25 to 1 to 24 to 1 in the second year of the biennium, as specified in House Bill 1673. This would increase the funding required for basic aid accounts, but would decrease the amount required for primary class size payments. The net effect in state funding is an increase of $704,035.)
