Page 348, after line 15, insert:
"M. From such federal funds as are available, the Department shall provide grants to the Department of Juvenile Justice for (i) up to $155,000 to establish a sex offender treatment program at the Culpeper Juvenile Correctional Center; (ii) up to $600,000 for additional juvenile probation officers for screening and assessment of certain juvenile offenders for substance abuse, pursuant to Senate Bill 1077 and House Bill 2159 of the 1999 General Assembly; (iii) up to $125,000, to be matched by an equal amount of general funds, for planning studies relative to the future of Hanover Juvenile Correctional Center; and (iv) up to $1,000,000 for renovation and/or reconstruction of the Hanover Juvenile Correctional Center, to be matched by an equal amount of general funds, pursuant to a plan to be provided by the Department of Juvenile Justice to the Department of Planning and Budget, as part of the capital outlay submission by the Department of Juvenile Justice for the 2000-2002 biennium.
N.  From such federal funds as are available, the Department shall provide a grant of up to $50,000 the second year to the Department of Juvenile Justice to conduct a study, in consultation with the Commission on Youth, of suggested staffing ratios for post-dispositional detention programs."
