Explanation
(This amendment provides funding for the Department of Education to contract with Harcourt-Brace to process Standards of Learning (SOL) test results within 14 calendar days, which will enable school divisions to move the test administration closer to the end of the academic year. Currently, school divisions administer the tests between five and eight weeks before the end of the term. This funding will allow divisions to move the test administration to between two to five weeks before the end of the term.)
