George Mason University is hereby granted approval to enter into a capital lease to provide academic and research space on the Arlington campus.  The university may renew or extend existing leases due to expire during the current biennium by utilizing space available to support graduate and professional degree programs in the Truland Building.  Such renewals or extensions may not exceed twenty years, and may provide for the university to take possession of the facility at the expiration of such lease.  The university may relocate such activities if an existing lease is unavailable or impracticable for renewal or extension.
