B. The Department shall maintain operation of, and visitor access to, state-owned fish hatcheries, including the Montebello fish hatchery. To offset the cost of supervising visitors at the fish hatcheries, the Department may charge a fee of up to $1.00 per visitor.
C. The Department of Game and Inland Fisheries shall report on the Black Bear Damage Programs in other states, which may have application to Virginia's Black Bear Management Program. The Department is further directed to review the policies of federal land management agencies within the Commonwealth that may impact Virginia's ability to manage the resident Black Bear population and associated damage. This information shall be made available to the General Assembly by December 1, 2005.
