A. In the second year, $97,400,000 in federal funds shall be used to address the maintenance of pavements and bridges and the operations of the transportation system. These funds shall be matched by other funds appropriated to this Item.
B. Notwithstanding the provisions of Chapter 641 of the 2004 Acts of Assembly, an amount up to $10,000 from this Item may be used for the purposes enumerated in such chapter.
C. The Department is authorized to enter into agreements with state and local law enforcement officials to facilitate the enforcement of high occupancy vehicle (HOV) restrictions throughout the Commonwealth and metropolitan planning regions.
