Construction of a parking deck at Eleventh and Broad Streets was included in Item 63.25 of Chapter 1042, 2003 Acts of Assembly.  The university has been unsuccessful in securing the property on which to construct the Eleventh and Broad Streets parking deck, but has identified an alternative university-owned site at the intersection of 8th and Duvall Streets on the MCV Campus for construction of the parking facility.  The existing appropriation of $13.2 milion is sufficient to construct the new parking deck.  The University is therefore authorized to construct the parking deck on the new site at 8th and Duvall Streets on the MCV Campus.
