This appropriation provides architectural and engineering fees for upgrading the wastewater treatment plant at Coffeewood Correctional Center. One component of the project will be combining the discharges from the wastewater treatment plant and the water treatment plant and relocating the discharge point for both facilities in order to address the toxicity problems of the water plant discharge. If this proposal by the Department of Corrections to combine and relocate the discharges is approved by the Department of Environmental Quality, the Director of the Department of Planning and Budget is authorized to transfer and allot the balance of funds in Project No. 799-16111 to this project.
