Authority: Title 2.1, Chapter 35.2, Articles 1 through 6, Code of Virginia.

A. The Governor is hereby authorized to increase the maximum position level for the Department of Information Technology as necessary to efficiently administer and integrate new technology systems within state government, including electronic and web-enabled government.

B. The appropriation in this Item includes $633,344 the first year and $313,673 the second year from the general fund for the administration of statewide term contracts, blanket purchase agreements, and master license agreements for information technology goods and services. No later than January 1, 2002, the department shall fund this activity from Internal Service funds, at which time the general fund appropriation is scheduled to end. Any general fund balances from implementation prior to that date shall revert to the general fund on or before June 30, 2002.

C. Other operational costs for this program shall be paid solely from charges to agency programs.
