A. Out of the amounts for Juvenile Custody and Treatment Services Juvenile Security shall be paid the support of children committed to the State Board derived from the funds made available for such children by parents or other persons, insurance or other sources.


B. The amount for Juvenile Rehabilitation and Treatment Services includes $419,785 for personal services and $51,843 for related nonpersonal services costs from the general fund the second year, to be used for the provision of mental health services to juveniles committed to the Department of Juvenile Justice. The department shall first attempt to provide these services through contracting with the private sector. If the department is unable to procure services equivalent to what it could provide through the use of departmental employees, the Director of the Department of Planning and Budget is authorized to increase the level of positions for the Department of Juvenile Justice by up to 10 positions for this purpose.
