"G. Out of the amounts appropriated for this item, $10,000,000 the first year and $10,000,000 the second year from the general fund shall be distributed to localities that have police departments and that have a violent crime index greater than 225 violent crimes per 100,000 population as reported by the most recent Department of Criminal Justice Services Virginia Crime Index and Drug Arrests Trend Report. The funding shall be distributed to such localities based on population.”



Explanation

(This amendment provides $10.0 million GF each year to be distributed to localities that have police departments and that have a violent crime index greater than 225 violent crimes per 100,000 population, with the amounts distributed based on population.)
