Explanation
(This amendment provides $250,000 each year from the general fund for radio reading services. There are five radio reading services in the Commonwealth that connect Virginians who are blind and vision impaired to information, news, community, and culture using technology and the human voice. Last year these programs grew by eight percent and need additional support to service those additional listeners and prepare for and reach more listeners as the population ages.)
