Explanation

(This amendment provides $2.0 million each year from the general fund and $2.9 million each year from federal funds for the associated cost of the impact of Senate Bill 70, which requires local social service departments to offer Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) beneficiaries services to improve their workplace skills and employability. SNAP employment and training programs operate in about 25 localities currently.)
