The Department of Medical Assistance Services shall amend the State Plan for Medical Assistance under Title XIX of the Social Security Act, to the extent permitted under federal law, to expand Emergency Medicaid to settings outside of an emergency department, provide additional emergency services, and include a provision to allow follow-up visit after an emergency. These changes shall be effective July 1, 2024."

Explanation
