Effective July 1, 2024, the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) shall set the reimbursement rate to 100 percent of the Medicare rural rates or 100 percent of non-rural rates if a rural rate does not exists for specific Durable Medical Equipment (DME) products, including enteral products and supplies and including those listed in the following categories in the DMAS fee schedule as Feeding Pumps, Nutritional Supplements, Feeding Kits and Tubes, Enteral/Parenteral Pumps, Nutrition Kits/Feeding Tubes, Nutritional Supplements, Apnea Monitors, Respiratory/Oxygen/Ventilators. DMAS shall have the authority to implement these changes prior to completion of any regulatory process undertaken in order to effect such change."



Explanation

(This amendment provides $7.0 million from the general fund each year and a like amount of federal matching funds to increase the reimbursement rate to 100 percent of the Medicare rural rates or 100 percent of non-rural rates if a rural rate does not exist for specific Durable Medical Equipment products, including those enteral products and supplies, including those listed in the following categories in the DMAS fee schedule as Feeding Pumps, Nutritional Supplements, Feeding Kits and Tubes, Enteral/Parenteral Pumps, Nutrition Kits/Feeding Tubes, Nutritional Supplements, Apnea Monitors, Respiratory/Oxygen/Ventilators.)
