Explanation

(This amendment provides $20.2 million the first year and $39.7 million the second year from the general fund for the Child Care Subsidy Program. This amount will provide services for an additional 1,591 children in FY 2025 and 3,118 in FY 2026. Combined with an amendment in Item 124 to increase funding for mixed-delivery, the total additional funding to meet the current and projected parent demand for full day, full year early childhood care and education services is $26.2 million the first year and $50.7 million the second year from the general fund.)
